The Windsor Military Tattoo was first introduced to the City of Windsor on May
30th, 2009. The event took place at the Waterfront Plaza in front of Casino
Windsor and it was filled with military displays including all of the local
units plus vintage vehicles and weapons.
In addition to all of the events, bands and displays, we also had Canada's own
parachute team, The Skyhawks which marked the opening of the tattoo by jumping
into the centre of the plaza with the Canadian flag.
The Windsor Military Tattoo on May 30th, 2009 also incorporated a Sunset
Ceremony where all of the combined units participated in the parade to form up
in a spectacular display of coordinated drill movements and weapons. |
